ABSTRACT
This study aimed to examine and evaluate the elements of advice in Hoyrat chants, which are the products of oral literature of Kirkuk. In this context, information on the effect of cultural and historical values on society and literary review on the subject was presented in the first section. Information on the language and history of Iraqi Turkomen people was provided in the second section. In the third section, information was given about hoyrat chants of Kirkuk Turcomen oral literature, which are types of verses consisting of stanzas that reflect the view of life and philosophy of the society, and narrate the emotions and reflections in a literary style, and the types of hoyrat chants in terms of format and structure. In addition to this, information was provided on the types of hoyrat chants, which are essential literary elements to sustain the traditions and customs, culture, language, and history of Kirkuk Turcomen and pass them from generation to generation. Information on the qualitative method used in the study and the population and sampling of the study was given in the fourth section. The fifth section presented information in the findings and interpretations section on hoyrat chants, which express advice and interpreted forty-seven hoyrat chants compiled in this context. In the sixth section, as a result, the hoyrat chants, which reflect the Turcomen spirit, their national feelings, and cultures, are at every stage of the Turcomen lives with their educational, instructive, and informative aspects. At the same time, hoyrat chants are an important form of historical oral literature that especially ensure preservation of national unity and solidarity, sharing of feeling and thoughts, sustaining traditions and customs and raising awareness of the society through advice. In this context, the evaluation of the reflections of hoyrat chants with themes of advice on the society was made by emphasizing the place and importance of hoyrat chants in the lives of the Turcomen society. This study aimed to contribute to the transfer of values and features of hoyrat chants that are a cultural heritage to future generations.

ÖZ
Bu çalışmada; Kerkük sözlü halk edebiyatı ürünü olan hoyratlarda nasihat unsurlarının incelenmesi ve değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda birinci bölümde kültürel ve tarihi değerlerin toplum üzerindeki etkisi hakkında bilgi ve konu ile ilgili literatür çalışması sunulmuştur. İkinci bölümde Irak Türkmen halkının dil ve tarihi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Kerkük Türkmen sözlü halk edebiyatının, toplumun hayata bakış tarzını ve felsefesini yansıtan, duygu ve düşüncelerin edebî bir tarzla anlatıldığı, dörtlüklerden oluşan bir nazım türü olan hoyratlar ve bu hoyratların şekil ve yapı açısından çeşitleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bununla birlikte Kerkük Türkmenlerinin gelenek ve göreneklerini, kültür, dil ve tarihlerini yaşatmak, nesilden nesile aktarmak için önemli bir edebî unsur olan hoyratların konu bakımından türleri hakkında bilgi sunulmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde araştırmada kullanılan nitel yöntem, araştırmanın evreni ve örneklemi ile ilgili bilgi sunulmuştur. Beşinci bölümde bulgular ve yorumlar kısmında nasihat ifade eden hoyratlar hakkında bilgi verilip, bu bağlamda derlenen kırk yedi hoyrat yorumlanmıştır. Altıncı bölümde sonuç olarak; Türkmen ruhunu, milli duygularını ve kültürlerini yansıtan hoyratlar eğitici, öğretici ve bilgilendirici yönüyle Türkmenlerin hayatlarının her aşamasında yer almaktadır. Bununla birlikte hoyratlar; özellikle milli birlik ve beraberliğin sağlanması, duygu ve düşüncelerin paylaşılması, gelenek ve göreneklerin yaşatılması ve nasihatlerle toplumun bilinçlendirilmesini sağlayan önemli bir tarihi sözlü edebiyat türüdür. Bu kapsamda hoyratların Türkmen toplumunun hayatındaki yerini ve önemini vurgulayarak, nasihat temalı hoyratların toplum üzerinde yansımalarının değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile kültür mirası hoyratların değerlerinin ve özelliklerinin gelecek nesillere aktarılmasına katkıda bulunmak amaçlanmıştır.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the Hoyrat Chants of Kirkuk, which are the product of oral literature and to show the richness of proverbs and idioms. While making references to Hoyrat chants that are among the products of oral culture, it is vitally important to make mention of Hoyrat chants that are one of the living examples of this culture and recited by Kirkuk Turcomen. Throughout the study, the subject of hoyrat chants was mentioned through proverbs and idioms, and how these values are rich in terms of their use in Kirkuk hoyrat chants was attempted to be shown through examples. Kirkuk Turcomen continues the national traditions that they inherited from history through hoyrat chants that are products of oral literature and leave them as a legacy to the next generations. This oral cultural heritage, whose hoyrat chants are used in every sphere of life and where every value of life finds itself, teaches many values to future generations as well as contributes to the education of the new generation. It is thought as a result of this study that the necessary importance would be given to hoyrat chants and a contribution would be made for their transfer to the next generations. It should not be forgotten that the significance of hoyrat chants need not be ignored in terms of conveying the rich cultural heritage belonging to Turks through hoyrat chants and that the treasures of the past lie in the construction of the future.

ÖZ
Bu çalışmanın amacı, sözlü edebiyat ürünü olan Kerkük hoyratlarını incelemek ve hoyratlardaki atasözü ve deyim zenginliğini göstermektir. Sözlü kültür ürünleri arasında yer alan hoyratlardan bahsederken bu kültürün yaşayan canlı örneklerinden biri olan Kerkük Türkmenlerinin söylediği hoyratlardır. Çalışma boyunca atasözleri ve deyimler ile hoyratlar konusuna değinerek, bu değerlerin Kerkük hoyratlarındaki kullanımı açısından ne kadar zengin olduğu, örnekler üzerinde gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Kerkük Türkmenleri tarihten tevarüs ettikleri milli geleneklerini, sözlü edebiyat ürünlerinden hoyratlar aracılığı ile hem devam ettirmekte ve hem de gelecek nesillere miras olarak bırakmaktadır. Hoyratları, hayatın her alanında kullanan ve hayata ait her değerin kendinden bir yer bulduğu bu sözlü kültür mirası ile gelecek nesillere pek çok değeri hem öğretmekte hem de yeni neslin eğitimine katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışma neticesinde hoyratlara gereken önemin verilmesi ve gelecek nesillere aktarılması adına bir katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Hoyratlar vasıtasıyla Türklere ait zengin kültür mirasının unutulmadan aktarılması bakımından hoyratların öneminin göz ardı edilmemesi gerektiği ve geleceğin inşasında geçmişin hazinelerinin yattığı inancı unutulmamalıdır.
